COP28 summit which will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates between 30 November to 12 December is subjected to many criticisms in regard of its capacity to address the climate change and propose efficient tools to effectively tackle with global warming to keep the temperatures well below 1.5°C.

Conference of the Parties (COP) summits have been held annual since the Rio Conference in 1992. The countries are hoping to reach a deal on increase in capacity in the global climate negotiations in Dubai, and they will also focus on the gaps of the implementation of 2015 Paris Climate Dealwhich is a near global acknowledged agreement apart from the lack of ratifications of Iran, Libya and Yemen.

Ahead of the COP28 Summit in Dubai, Presidency of COP28 urged governments to triple renewal energy capacity by 2030 to effectively address climate change and keep the temperatures below 1.5°C. International summits and gatherings such as COP28, Paris Climate Goals and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are crucial in addressing issues at global level, however there is a lack of coordination and commitment in these issues and states are not fully committing due to various reasons such as funding, inequality between the developments processes of the countries and so on. Nation states are yet to perceive the danger is at the door: climate eruption and chaos.
