As the Israel-Hamas war continues, America has started to shift its position from hardline support of Israel to a political support of Israel but with a pause in violence in order to provide Palestine with humanitarian aid (a murky shifting in stance that is reflecting the political-cultural divide the war has garnered in America). However, Israel has remained firm: the offensive will continue without pause so long as the Israelis that Hamas has kidnapped remain hostages.

In the wake of these terms, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, leader of Lebanese-based militant organization Hezbollah said it would continue its skirmishing with Israel along the border of Israel-Lebanon in solidarity with Hamas. Nasrallah has indicated that Hezbollah is willing to entertain all military and war-time options in their support of Hamas.

It should be noted that Hamas is a prominent Sunni militant group and party governing the Palestinian territories since 2006, while Hezbollah is a Shi’ite group.  Both Hamas and Hezbollah have been labeled as terrorist organizations by the United States.
