Israeli-Palestinian conflict that started with Hamas’s surprise rocket launch offensive against Israel and Hamas militants’ attack on civilians in Israeli cities on 7th of October quickly retaliated by Israel with a massive operation and Israel declared war against Hamas soon after. Since 7th of October at least 1400 Israeli have been killed by Hamas; and at least 2450 Palestinian have been killed by disproportionate Israeli retaliation.  

Israel and Palestine have been in this vicious circle for many decades, and it seems that this vicious circle could not be resolved unless Israel, Palestine and mediator states address the root causes.  

Although declaration of wars has become rare in the aftermath of the World War II, it can be seen in the case of Israel-Hamas War. Israel declared war against Hamas’s surprise attack to Israeli cities and retaliated against the previous attacks, however the disproportionality of Israel’s response to the Hamas’s offensive distances Israel’s retaliation from a self defence perspective and it might lead us to believe that Israel is in fact trying to eradicate Palestinian people as it might be observed in the case of the blast of the hospital-an act committed by Israel which is claimed by more than two verified sources, newspapers.
