NATO Ministers meet in Brussels, focus on Ukraine, Middle East, and affirm China not an adversary.

On 28 November 2023, NATO Foreign Ministers gathered in Brussels, Belgium for two days to address pressing issues worldwide. Foreign Ministers with the attendance of Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg discussed NATO’s deterrence and defence and they reiterated their support for Ukraine as the war in the region still continues. Foreign Ministers also expressed their concerns over the war in the Middle East and they discussed the release of the hostages and humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg needed the urge to reiterate himself by stating that China is not their adversary and he highlighted the importance of addressing the current challenges that the world face by mentioning that the challenges are now global and therefore require global efforts with all our partners.
NATO will continue to play a crucial role in Atlantic solidarity and Europe will continue to be dependent upon US military support in European security structure in where the EU lacks strong operational capacity. Moreover, NATO Foreign Ministers to address the instability in Western Balkans will meet again in Brussels alongside with EU’s Top Diplomat the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.
