On 23 November 2023 in Dublin, Ireland, a stabbing incident occurred in which three children, one male and female have been injured. According to the news agencies the perpetrator is an Algerian man. The riots broke out in Ireland after the news of this stabbing was spread out to the public.

To restore the public order many police officers has been deployed to counter anti-immigrant protesters in Dublin. “They are disgraceful scenes. We have a complete lunatic, hooligan faction driven by far right ideology engaged in serious violence” told Police Commissioner Drew Harris.

Right now, in Ireland there are no major far-right parties or an overwhelming ideology of extreme conservatism, however this situation might be subjected to change as Ireland saw some anti-immigration political discourse in the last year; nevertheless, whether another far-right movement is on the rise is not clear yet.
